Jack & Mel
We're the husband-and-wife team behind Clean Scapes. Jack is on the tools, and Mel runs the office: quotes, bookings and keeping you updated along the way.

Clean Scapes was founded by Jack, a landscaper and experienced excavator operator with more than a decade in landscaping and excavation. We're a family business built on practical experience, careful planning and doing the job properly the first time.
We focus on structural and landscape work that has to perform for years: walls that hold and fences that stay straight, built on ground that's prepared properly first. Every job is planned around the site itself, including access, levels, drainage and what's next door.

Tight access
Experts in tight-access and sloping sites
Narrow side paths, sloping blocks, established gardens and homes built close to the boundary are where we do our best work. Our compact machine fits through gaps a standard excavator can't, so we can often build walls and fences without removing existing fences or tearing up your yard.
That means less disruption to your home and your neighbours, and precise work where every centimetre counts.
What to expect
Our process
Every fencing and retaining wall job follows the same general sequence, broken into three stages. Most standard jobs take approximately 3–5 working days, but timing depends on the size of the job, site access, ground conditions and weather.
- Stage 1
Demolition, site preparation & material delivery
We remove existing fence or wall materials where applicable, clear the construction line, complete the required excavation and site preparation, and deliver project materials to site. A Dial Before You Dig check is completed before excavation begins.
- Stage 2
Posts, footings & installation
We set posts and footings and start installing the fencing, sleepers or other structural components for your project.
- Stage 3
Completion & handover
We complete the remaining installation and finishing work, tidy the site, and do a final walkthrough and handover with you.
